Baked Apple Betty 🍏🔥

Ingredients:

🍎 Apple Filling:

  • 6 cups apples, peeled, cored, and sliced (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work great)

  • ½ cup brown sugar

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • ¼ tsp nutmeg

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

🧈 Crumble Topping:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • ¾ cup brown sugar

  • ½ cup rolled oats

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

  • .1 gram RSO/FSO/Distillate (Available in Dispensary)

Instructions:

1️⃣ Preheat Oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish.

2️⃣ Prepare the Apples: In a large bowl, toss sliced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Spread evenly in the baking dish.

3️⃣ Infuse the Butter:

  • Measure your desired amount of RSO or distillate.

  • Warm the melted butter slightly (if not already warm) to help with even mixing.

  • Add the RSO/distillate to the butter and stir thoroughly until fully incorporated. Tip: Using a small whisk or fork ensures even distribution.

4️⃣ Make the Crumble: In a separate bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, oats, salt, and cinnamon. Slowly pour in the infused butter, stirring continuously until the mixture becomes crumbly.

5️⃣ Assemble & Bake: Evenly sprinkle the crumble topping over the apples. Bake for 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the apples are bubbly.

6️⃣ Cool & Enjoy: Let cool for at least 10 minutes to allow flavors and infusion to settle. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an extra treat!
