High Honey Chickie ๐ฏ๐๐จ
Total Time: 45 mins Yield: 4 Serving
๐ฅ Ingredients
For the Chicken:
1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts (cut into bite-sized pieces)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for crispier texture)
2 tbsp olive oil
For the Sauce:
4 garlic cloves (minced)
ยฝ cup honey
ยผ cup soy sauce (low sodium works great)
1 tbsp rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp water
1 tsp sesame oil (optional)
.1g to .125g servings worth of RSO or distillate (Available in dispensary)
1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water (to thicken)
For the Rice:
2 cups cooked jasmine or basmati rice
Optional toppings: sesame seeds, sliced green onions, chili flakes
๐ณ Instructions
1. Infuse the Sauce
In a small heatproof bowl, gently warm your honey (15โ20 seconds in the microwave or in a warm water bath).
Mix in your measured RSO or distillate until fully dissolved. Stir well to combine thoroughly. Set aside.
๐ก Pro tip: RSO is thickโwarming it slightly helps mix it smoothly. Always blend your cannabis extract into a fat or sugar like honey for even distribution.
2. Cook the Chicken
Season your chicken pieces with salt, pepper, and optionally toss in cornstarch.
Heat 2 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook 6โ8 minutes, until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
3. Make the Sauce
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add a splash of oil if needed. Toss in the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Stir in soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, and the infused honey mixture.
Add the cornstarch slurry and simmer for 2โ3 minutes, stirring until the sauce thickens.
4. Combine & Serve
Add the cooked chicken back into the skillet and toss to coat in the sticky, infused sauce.
Serve hot over warm rice. Garnish with sesame seeds, green onions, or a pinch of chili flakes for heat.
๐ฟ Dosing Notes
If you're new to cannabis edibles, start with a lower dose (5โ10mg per serving).
Always label leftovers and store responsibly!
